February 27, 2016 will mark Pokemon’s 20th anniversary. What does that mean for us Pokenerds? Why yes, it means giveaways, Pokemon themed 3DS’s, and two new games!
The company has announced that on Feb. 27, Nintendo will release Pokemon themed 3DS’s, with Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red pre-installed on the system, and will have two cover plates that have Charizard and Blastiose featured on them.
Pokemon will host a year long giveaway, starting in February, it will feature some of the hardest to catch Pokemon, like Mew, Celebi, Darkrai, Arceus, etc.
And last but not least, Pokemon will be releasing “Pokken Tournament” which is a small departure for the franchise where players directly control the the action in the arcade fighting game. Also, the company will be releasing Pokemon GO, a mobile game where players catch Pokemon in the real world.
